    Can't add record?? (Access 97)

I thought I would reword a post I submitted earlier. When entering data in a shared database (occassionally), the user can't add a record. The only way around this is to close the database, losing the information entered in the record. Does anyone know why this happens. It is a fairly new database, so it isn't that large.

Take a look at the advanced tab of the options window (menu tools).
Default record locking should be Edited record and default open mode should be shared.
Check this on the computer of the user who has the problems.

The specific error message is - "You can't go to the specified record", "You may be at the end of a recordset." I have been going around and changing the Default record locking to Edited record on everyone's computer. It was set to "no locks".

It sounds like there's some code or a macro in there that is trying to movenext at the end of a recordset.
