    Can't find "command line"

In previous versions of Windows I could easily find the command line prompt... but where the heck is the thing now? [in Win7]

The way I normally access it is to hold the Windows key down and then press R. Type cmd and press enter.

Works a treat in Windows 8 as well!

Start > Programs > Windows Accessories.

That's where the shortcut is found. There are a number of ways to open a Command Prompt.

Create a fresh drive image before making system changes, in case you need to start over!

You can also type command in the Search box. Right click and choose Run as Administrator for higher level (privilege)

In Win 8 (for those using it) Win key + X brings up the menu and you will find Command and Command (Admin) options.

Many ways to accomplish the same task,
One of the underappreciated things about Windows.
