    Infected files?

I ran a scan with ClamWin portable which showed some 11 infected files as per attachment.
I ran the Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool but it showed all clean. Malwarebytes free also
showed no threats. Is this something to worry about, and if so how do I remove these infected files.
    Thanks, Dave

    Hi Dave,

From their locations I'd guess at false positives, what are the dates on the files listed and do they all relate to the TuneUpUtilities install? Where did you download TUP from?

EDIT: try a couple of the Free Online Independent Malware Scans from here (Clamwin's not very good): http://www.carrona.org/malware.html

Hi Satrow, thanks for the quick response. I will try a different online scanner.
My TUP is the 2011 version and I don't remember where the download was from.
Would there be something faulty was TUP?
    Regards
    Dave

It's possible that TUU was infected if it was downloaded from an untrustworthy source; I'm still leaning towards a false positive though, further scan results are likely to clarify it.

I did purchase from the TuneUp Utilities site, so I'm sure you are correct about the false positive. Would a full scan with Malwarebytes free clarify
    this?

Do you have any results from one of the online scanners, Dave? If that comes up clean, I'd be reasonably confident that ClamWin was erroneous.

    Hi Satrow
I have attached results of scan done with Spybot free portable. I am not sure what this all means.
I hjave not taken any action on these results as I am not sure the seriousness of these.
Please give me advice please. Bitdefender Quickscan shows clear.
    Regards Dave

What I can see of your screenshot shows little more than cookies, logs and a few changes (probably tweaked options), nothing to worry about there. Quick scans really aren't enough, try ESET, Panda or Trend Micro from that list.
