    Activating Office

    Hi,
I was using Office 2007 on my Vista PC which had an HDD crash. I bought a Win 8 PC and when I try to install Office 2007 on it I get a message that I have exceeded the maximum number of copies, so the install fails.
Since Office 2007 is no longer being used on the Vista PC, how do I inform the install process that I am not exceeding the maximum number of copies?
    Thanks,
    Dan

Are you offered the option to activate over the phone? If not, have you tried to shutdown your internet connection before trying activation?

MS will allow you to activate if you explain the problem. Just a phone call away.

    cheers, Paul

    Paul,
Thanks for the encouragement - I'll attempt to call them.
