Copy Command in Excel 2007 takes Long time to execute

In Excel 2007 Response to the Copy command can take as long as 10 to 15 seconds. Sometimes the program is non-responsive for that interval.
After the command is executed subsequent commands may also lag in execution time.

If you are low in available RAM, the data sent to the clipboard may be strored in the much slower virtual memory (page file) instead. If the page file is small in size, Windows will perform read/write operations to allocate room for the data. Do you see your hard drive light flashing for those 10 to 15 seconds? This may offer some help:

You didn't mention whether you had the 32bit vs 64bit version of Win 7, hoever, if you are running with <4GB of installed memory, adding additional RAM is well worth the money

Thanks for your assistance. My Win 7 is 64Bit version. Tried increasing size of Swap File. Problem appeared to resolve itself, but reappeared after a reboot.
