    Forum Admin Question (None)

I'm really sorry to post this here. Can someone tell me where the option is on this site to change my email address for notification replies to posts and to the Access Watch subscription?

There is a menu bar across the top of your screen, click "Controls". Then click the little person icon that appears on next screen.

Thanks, Mark. Does that also re-route my WAW subscription?

There are 2 e-mail fields, a public one and a private one. I think the private one is the one used by WAW.

    Hi,
As far as I'm aware WAW just uses whatever email address you subscribed to it with - it's not related to the Lounge in any way.

You are probably right. We have to give our e-mail address for so many things now, it's hard to remember what any of it is for!

    Mark,
Too true! I have so many email addresses, userIDs and passwords now that I find it hard enough to remember 'who' I am, never mind what I'm doing! <img src=/S/smile.gif border=0 alt=smile width=15 height=15>

I you want a real exercise in futility, try changing e-mail addresses! I recently have tried to migrate from one address to another. I don't think I'll EVER get rerouted everything that comes to that old address (and then, there are the sites in which the old e-mail address is my ID).

Yes, and if you want to change your profile on those sites, you have to confirm the change by replying to the email they send to your now non-existent old email address! <img src=/S/nuts.gif border=0 alt=nuts width=15 height=15>

I finally started putting the email address I used to register in with the other information I save on my Palm Pilot about each site registration . I use a product called TopSecret to hold all that stuff so I can remember the passwords and logins I use for any given site.

That's one of the reasons I still use AOL as my ISP - really can't be bothered with the hassle of changing email addresses - it's worse than changing phone numbers or moving house (which I will have the joy of doing soon too <img src=/S/hairout.gif border=0 alt=hairout width=31 height=23>)

Thanks, I'll have to check that out. Currently I'm using a product called "Blank sheet of paper I usually can't find when I need it!".

For about US$25 a year I use remailer SpamCop might be a better choiceas the fees are prolly lower and the Spam management much better.

    Hi
Sounds like some folks need MerC's Intstant Integrated Information Instructions. Index page, my web site. With this method you don't even need a mouse click.
For a less public and more secure use of passwords and log-ins, try Key Wallet (#62, same place).

    Click my sig.

    Re: Forum Admin Question (None)

It's also the reason why I use a virtual ISP (Bigfoot, in my case) - so I should never have to change email addresses at all. No matter who my ISP is I just tell Bigfoot that all emails to my bigfoot address now go to the new 'real' address instead of the old one and they all follow me like good little puppies!

With Bigfoot, the basic facility is free, but there are extras available for $19.95 a year. I can certainly recommend Bigfoot (<A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.bigfoot.com>http://www.bigfoot.com</A>) if anyone wants to try it!
