I have attempted to complete the steps outlined in your instruction in the url you encluded.

After entering the task scheduler library, no user feed synchronization task was located for deletion!
The other steps were also accomplished but nothing noted in the command prompt enteries made.

Are ther any other steps that canbe tried?

You can have a look in C:\Windows\System32\Tasks and see if you find the task said to be corrupt. You can simply delete it.

Something is screwy! I access win tasks on the C drive, and locate several strange enteries; google update task machine UA, 1-3-2013 2.17 pm, google update task machine core, real upgrade scheduler tasks 1-5-21-120, real upgrade logon tasks 1-5-21-120266, and user_feed_synchronization 6D4336E4-C.
These 5 enteries were all created 1-3-2013 217 PM. They appear to have been sent by an e-mail attachment. Are these malware?

What do you mean by " They appear to have been sent by an e-mail attachment"? They all have legitimate tasks names.

Corruption does occur with tasks in a relevant number of situations - I have had to deal with it on Windows 7.

Sorry Rui; appear was the wrong term; The items stated, were sent by e-mail attach, they were not requested by me, thats way I questioned their
legitimacy. Considering they are legitmate! could there be any other reason why the task scheduler is acting in this manner or is it an issue with Win 7?

I really appreciate your guidence in reaching a conclusion.

The items are legitimate and the corruption, as I wrote before, does occur in quite a few systems. A quick Google search will show you that.
