Date Tooltip - not appear in certain Word documents

Hi, I hope someone has noticed this issue and has a solution/suggestion.

In Word 2010, blank document, if I start typing the word "June" or "July" yellow tooltip appears with the current date, so I can just press Enter key to insert that text.

If I open an older document and begin typing the word "June" or "July" -- yellow tooltip with current date does NOT appear.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks!

Is the older document saved in doc or docx format?

I found a "common denominator". When opening older or creating new document in Word 2010 - if there are graphics in header or footer (text box, lines), the date tooltip doesn't appear when you begin typing the month (i.e. "June"). It doesn't matter if doc format is .doc or .docx

If I delete all the graphics in header/footer, date tooltip does appear.

This is not an issue in Word 2003, seems to be a new issue in Word 2010.

You are talking about inserting today's date, correct?

I just created a Word 2010 docx with a graphic in the header. I then typed "June" and as soon as I typed the space after, I was presented with a tooltip to insert today's date.

Are you able to do this? Or are you describing something different? Perhaps it only happens with short month names?
