    Message Class (Outlook 2000)

I recently added some contacts to my data base, and those new contacts when opened come up with an error message that reads: "The Custom form could not be opened. Outlook will use an Outlook form instead. The form required to view this message cannot be displayed. Contact your administrator" Wow I am the administrator. I traced the problem to the "Message Class" in the distribution list field and noticed that the offending contacts had the following: IPM.Contact.SBE, all the other contacts in the data base had the following: IPM.Contact. My question is What happened?, and how can I change this. I tried highlighting to take out the SBE to no avail. I tried deleting and re adding the contacts, but that didn't work. Any suggestions? PS: This is not a shared contact list over a network.

SBE is a form installed by the small business edition of office.

you can change the message class using a change form utility at or it may work to clear the frmcache. (search your drive for frmcache and delete it.)

Thanks Mary, I took the delete route and then resarted Outlook. All is well
