    microsoft mouse (trackball)

I'm running win 7 64bit, this problem started a while ago and I just can't stand it anymore. Whenever I play spider solitaire (Microsoft) the mouse seems to be not working correctly. the Icon at the bottom of the screen jumps and the mouse clicks take awhile to work. I uninstalled the game and then reinstalled to no avail, the mouse drivers are updated and everything else works normally. The computer is self built and is powered by an i7 core with 16 gigs ram, crossfire hd5800 video cards. Any and all help will be appreciated.

If this is a wireless mouse, have you checked the batteries?

Have you moved any other wireless device around the PC recently?

Have you looked at Task Manager to see if something is consuming excess resources?

Nothing abnormal is happening in the task manager or resource manager. When it happens is all the time that I play spider solitaire. On the task bar the icon for spider solitaire starts to jump and slide to the right and then back again. It's very annoying, this started right after I built this system and loaded Win 7 Pro 64 bit it has me baffled.

Do you have PS/2 ports on the computer? If you do, try installing a PS/2 mouse. Perhaps a PS/2 mouse will work correctly for Spider Solitaire.

I have experienced this phenomenon too while browsing. The solution for me is to clean the lens, and voila!, back in business again. Perhaps this will work for you, too, Jsragas
