    Importing Data (A2K)

I need to import data from an old DOS legacy DB using a csv file. I plan to import into a temporary file, then use an append query to add the records into my table. The problem is that the old DB had a field for each part of the phone number (area code, prefix, last 4 numbers) and each part of the SS number. In addition, the old fields are numeric and my new fields are text (with a mask). Any suggestions on how I can do this?

I would suggest importing then using a query to move the data to a new table in which you concatenate the fields so that they are in the same format as the new table and then use the append query
