Ram drive above 3.4GB limit on XP 32-bit

    Looking for solution and assistance:
Create a ram drive above 3.4GB limit on 32-bit XP. Have 8G hardware Dram.

Yes, I can create ram drive below the 3.4GB limit but I'd like to do it above the limit.
I have quite a bit of uses and applications re ram drive.

Change motherboard? Let's say it is the last option...
    Any help appreciated.

(Surely one solution is to use 64-bit XP or Win7 but let's stick to 32-bit XP, the least complicated hardware path ... if we can break the 3.4GB barrier using just software.)

Not many products will allow you to do that. Seems RamDisk Plus 11 will, but at a non negligible cost - $79.95:

There is another product that has a free trial: Primo Ramdisk, with multiple versions at a lower cost: http://www.romexsoftware.com/en-us/p.../features.html

    Thanks.
I check the products from both Superspeed [RamDisk] and Primo.
Primo Ramdisk maybe out. It breaks 3.4GB barrier ONLY if PAE is enabled. However, some motherboards do not do it even with PAE enabled. It is the motherboard design. One of my motherboards is one example. Yes, tested.
I also tested Superspeed RamDisk (not the Plus version). With PAE enabled, it is not able to break the barrier as well because the motherboard design does not allow it.
Seems RamDisk Plus, and only the Plus version with its unique technology, could break the 3.4GB barrier. I'm not sure if it also depends on PAE.
No free trial. Will get more info before paying $80. For my need, the price is reasonable.
    Again, thanks.
