Numbers blurr when cells add up total

When I use this sheet to calculate hours the total gets blurry and seems to stack the numbers on top of each otherCopy of 2Card.xlsx unless I move the line in and out. How can I fix this? I have included the sheet so you can see what it is doing.

    Thanks for the help,

    Dale

First, I noticed that I7's formula is probably incorrect. It reads: =SUM(B7:H70) but probably should be: =SUM(B7:H7).

What's causing the smudging is a mystery to me. Maybe someone else will know.

However, I cleared all the formatting in column I where the formulas are, put the borders back in, and it appeared to not smudge any longer. That may be your work-around and solution to get the sheet to look as it should.

PS. It's also curious to me why I41's formula sums row 42: =SUM(B42:H42)
There are a few others like that.

How do I clear the formatting in the column where the formulas are? I just made errors on the formulas but fixed them.

    Thanks for the help,

If you're running Excel 2010, select the cells (e.g., I6:I37), then from the HOME tab, in the Editing group (on the far right), click on the arrow on the icon that looks like an eraser (it's called "Clear"). Select the Clear Formatting option. Then, put the borders back in as you had them.
