    Query formulae (Access2000)

    date: ([settlementdate]-[tradedate])
    Is it possible to get a formulae similar to the one below?? with IIf function if possible??
    SF: ([date]="2","SPOT",[date]>"5","FWD"," ")

    Not quite sure what you're getting at, but I suspect it involves the switch function -check the builtin help.

    Perhaps

    SF: nz(switch([date]=2,"SPOT",[date]>5,"FWD")," ")

    The nz is to cover what happens if nothing matches; if returning a null is OK under those circumstances then you don't need the nz.

    Thats is exactly what I was trying to do.
    (If the diffrence between trade date & settlement date is 2 then the payment method is spot and if its more than 5 days then the payment methos is Forward but if its between 3 & 5 (else) nothing.)
