View IP address in Outlook 2013

I constantly get spam mail from "CheaperAutoCoverage <EMA3M@phoenix-71U.edu>". Each day I go to my webmail and mark it as spam and the next day I get an email again but 1 letter or number has been changed so it is a new email address.

Is there a way to track the ip address to see who is sending these messages?

    Thanks,

    Mike

You need to open the message then choose File->Info and then click the Properties button. It will give you several IP addresses (sending server, receiving server and sender's IP - this is usually the last). This being spam, it is possible that the IP does not remain the same.

See here how to access the headers with graphical help: www.petenetlive.com/KB/Article/0000663.htm

The downside is that the spam will be from a bot and as soon as you stop that one another will take over. Just mark it as spam and get on with your life.

    cheers, Paul
