    Can't create folders in Outlook 2002

    I'm running Win8 and office xp pro. I tried to create a personal folder and got this;
    "Outlook can't read the registry information. Close and Restart Outlook, Reinstall Outlook, Reinstall Microsoft Exchange or other e-mail system."

    A) I closed and reopened. Closed and rebooted. Ran Detect and Repair from Outlook and Control Panel.
    B) Can I reinstall Outlook only or do I have to reinstall Office?
    C) I have cable internet and can send/receive email. What is the full name of the Microsoft Exchange or is that it?

    I have been able to create folders with office xp pro on two other computers but I was running Windows xp pro for an os. All Windows updates are current and installed.

    Thanks
    Kevin

    Outlook 2002 and Office XP are not compatible with Windows 8.

    Microsoft says that even Office 2003 will have problems on Windows 8.

    Microsoft Exchange is only used by businesses for internal/external email.

    Thanks Bruce.
    I didn't want to reload Outlook just for the fun of it, know what I mean? There are some other glitches in other office programs that I'm living with for the time being.
    Thanks again
