    Search not working

I have IE10 running on a Win7 32-bit desktop. I haven't installed any "extra" search choices yet, so all I have currently available is Bing. When I put a search term in the Bing box on the MSN site, a new tab opens up but it is totally blank. Not even a title on the tab. Navigating to websites works fine, but Search is a problem. Any ideas?

I would try to uninstall, then reinstall IE 10. This might rule out a corrupt upgrade. There have been some problems with IE 10 on Win 7. Perhaps this is a manifestation of that.

When I look at the installed programs list, the only entry for IE just says Internet Explorer (Enable DEP). If I uninstall that, will I drop back to IE9?

Turn on view installed updates in Programs and features and then you will be able to find I.E.10. It will revert back to I.E.9. The one new install of 7 that I tried 10 on didn't even get as far as your's does but I.E.9 seems to work just fine. There was one prerequisite update I uninstalled also, it's in one of these threads, not too old...I'll see if I can find it.

Thanks F.U.N. I did not have time to check and respond last evening.

Reinstalled the Platform Update and IE10 just now, Search still doesn't work. I should have mentioned that for some reason I can't set my display higher than standard VGA, which Windows tells me is not a good thing. I tried installing a DirectX 9 video card, but that didn't help. I can't imagine why this display problem should make a difference in showing Search results, but I'm at a loss as to what's wrong here.

Were you able to search before installing IE 10? Have you run a malware check recently?

I used Bing Search after I installed Win7 and it worked then. MalwareBytes Anti-Malware doesn't find anything hinky.

Can you try adding a different search provider and see if the problem persists?
