    Windows 8.1 RT

I'm looking at getting a tablet, and am trying to decide on which way to go. I'm seriously considering either a Surface RT, an ASUS, or yes a Kindle HD with 4G. Yes, the kindle because of the 4G.
Since some of you already are using an RT, I thought what your experience has been with the Surface RT without 4G, or does the 8.1 version give it that ability.
Please I am NOT interested in anything Google, so please spare me that suggestion. And am not really interested in Apple either.
    Thanks
    Thanks John

    John,

It would be most helpful if you would tell us exactly how you plan to use the tablet. It makes a big difference in any recommendation I would make.

Mainly using Office, SkyDrive, reading surfing. I of course would like to access my SkyDrive but if there isn't any WiFi available I always have my phone.

    John,

Depending on how "seriously" you want to use Office you have just ruled out a Kindle. If you only want to read office documents you can use the office app on the Kindle Fire HD but if document creation is your goal you need something with a real keyboard IMHO. The fact that you want office would seem to make the Surface RT model a no brainer as they give you office for free, again this is just my take. HTH

Mine as well in that category, Leo LaPorte says to get the better keyboard too, because it's a real keyboard, if you intend on using Office quite a bit.
