Smile Word 2003 CTRL + Click selection does not hold.

Word 2003 CTRL + Click selection does not hold.

I prefer to use the faster std. Mouse Pointer to select hyperlinks in Word 2003.
However, recently the setting reverts to the slower CTRL + Click option.
I have deselected this option many times to no avail.
Selection only holds until I leave Word 2003.
When I bring up W 2003 again it returns to the slower CTRL + Click option.

Any suggestions to keep the MOUSE POINTER TO SELECT HYPERLINKS in Word 2003?

    See attached PIX.

    Cheers,

Failure to store one or more option values typically means that the contents of a key in the registry are corrupted. You can often get it working again by deleting the appropriate content and letting Word rebuild it. This is described in the "Deleting and recreating the corrupt registry values" section of http://www.word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErr...ngMenusEtc.htm and the article http://www.word.mvps.org/FAQs/Custom...eySettings.htm.

For Word 2003, the key to look for is HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\W ord\Data. The item you should delete and rebuild is the Settings value -- the second article explains how to back it up so you can restore it after the rebuild.
