Why are links to published PDF reports not opening the report to the title page?

I have hyperlinks in my resume that direct readers to examples of my published work. Annoyingly, and inexplicably (since the URLs haven't changed), in both Word and PDF these links open the report on say page 3 or 4. NOT where I want the potential employer to begin reading, since the first two pages are where the focus is on my work.

No idea why this began happening consistently tonight, and not sure how to fix/diagnose it.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks.

    Using Office 2010.

Some PDF viewers "Remember" where you were the last time you opened a file for viewing. Does yours do that? Try turning this off in the "Preferences" area of your reader and try it again. If this is the case, for a first time viewer it will open at page one. Or always go to page one before closing it.
