    Upgrading Windows versions

My desktop runs Windows 7 Ultimate. My HP laptop runs Home Premium (from the factory). If I want to upgrade my laptop to 7-Ult., how can I do that without losing all the HP utilities that came with the machine? Can I just run it as an upgrade and it will leave all the HP utils intact? If not, is there a way do you think to download just the utilities separately and install them aside from the o/s?

I pawed around the HP site but am not sure where I would look for the answer to this...I must just be getting old and slow!

    Regards,
    Chuck Billow

What you want is the Windows 7 Anytime upgrade wherein all you purchase is the upgrade serial and apply that and according to the literature in about 10 minutes you are upgraded with all programs and settings intact.
Sent from Windows ME thru Opera 10.63...just before they crashe

If you choose the upgrade route all the HP utilities should be fine. Just do a full image before starting the backup.
