    Macros and Toolbars

    Hey All,

I am working on creating a template for my group. In the template I have a bunch of macros which I would like everyone to be able to use. However, in word 2003 we can get the "Add-Ins" tab, but in Word 2007, its little more challenging. I essentially don't want to the Quick Access Toolbar. Ideally i want to be able to see a toolbar. I want to make i generic enough so everyone is able to use the macros.

    Please help!

In Word 2007 and later, you cannot make a real toolbar other than the Quick Access Toolbar. However, you can replicate a Word 2003 toolbar in a group on the Add-Ins tab of the ribbon. The procedure is shown at http://www.gmayor.com/Toolbars_in_word_2007.htm.

You can also modify the Ribbon, adding a special tab for your macros, including menus if you want. See Customize the Ribbon - It Doesn't Take Rocket Science.
