    Microsoft Update Search

So I have been going back through the articles from Susan and I cannot find anything on the following updates

    KB2767886
    KB2687455
    KB2791765

I might have missed them as well, so looking for a little help.

I was wondering if anyone here has any detailed news if they are okay to install and have had no issues with them. I am using Windows 7 Pro 64-bit and Office 2010 64-bit.

Thanks and sorry if this is in the wrong area.

KB2767886 is to correct a problem in Office 2010 when you use an Arabic keyboard. So, if you don't use one skip it.

KB2687455 if Office 2010 service pack2. I recommend you install this. Two things - one, do a complete backup of your system before installing any service pack & two, run Windows Update after the install as there may be patches that only apply to SP2.

KB2791765 is a Windows 7 application compatibity update. See the Applications and devices section at Application compatibility update for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2: March 2013 to decide if you need the update. If you do install it otherwise hide it.

Thanks Joe and will do. Will be imaging today prior to the SP2 for Office. The other two do not pertain to me so "hide" they go. Again, thanks

KB2687455 (Office 2010 SP2) was the lead article in Patch Watch less than two months ago: Microsoft Office 2010 gets a major update

Unfortunately, Susan said wait a couple of weeks; but, as is often the case, has not mentioned it again in the last two months!

What to do: Service packs always have lots of components. For that reason, I recommend not installing KB 2687455 immediately after it’s offered. We need a couple of weeks to see whether there are reports of problems with the update.

For the other two; Susan doesn't comment on non-security patches; except when she does.

I can't find anything on KB2834140, KB2846960, KB2882822, KB2888049, KB2893519 from the last (Nov 12) updates. ALSO, beware Outlook users, KB2837597 (Sec update for MS Outlook 32 Bit) produces the same event 27 (Calendar folder can't be found) error as Office SP2. Wonder if MS will fix this annoying bug. If they fix SP2, I'll then try the security update and see if the error persists. Win7/64.
