    Win7 Puzzling Tiles vs Tabs

My desktop shows tabs (thumbnails?) for open aps along the bottom of the screen, starting from the lower left.

A few days ago, I began to see three of these tabs appear in the center of the desktop. Three in a row. It does not happen all of the time and appears to be random.

Did I inadvertently press a key-sequence that triggered this behavior? How do I stop it?

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

    PointFive,

Did you by any chance press WinKey+Alt+Tab? HTH

I am asking this question for a friend with Parkinsons disease. His hand is not steady. He might have pressed that sequence.

I tried to help him yesterday. He tries very hard, but has trouble hitting the proper keys.

Assuming he did, is there an undo sequence?

    PointFive,

The tabs in the center of the screen should disappear as soon as the keys are released. I don't know of anything that would cause it just popup at random other than pressing the key sequence. HTH
