Unhappy Power failure during Windows update

Windows was applying some updates (Vista 64) and when it got to stage 3 of 3, I had a power failure before it finished. Now when I try to start Windows, it tells me it is applying the update but after about 5 minutes the computer reboots and it starts trying to apply the update again. This just keeps happening over and over.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    TIA

See if you can start in safe mode with command prompt and run system restore to return to a point before the updates were applied.
Sent from Windows ME thru Opera 10.63...just before they crashe

Thanks, I wasn't aware of how to run system restore from a command prompt.

I'll try it tonight after work.
