Question using the address bar for searching...

My address bar doesn't want to work for searching. It now requires complete web addresses.
I used to be able to type in a word and get search results; now I just see "page cannot be displayed". I have IE10 with Windows 7.
I'm sure this is an easy fix...I just don't remember how!
    thank you!

You might try to go to Internet Options, Advanced and Reset IE near the bottom. This should reset to default settings.

Also I suppose Internet Options, Content, Auto Complete settings, and make sure Use Windows Search for better results.

Tools, Manage add-ons, Search Providers, Search in the address bar (check).
