Are there any read/write restrictions on Firefox's profile directory?

Is your hard drive close to full?

    That's a pretty good read.

Something else that occasionally might happen is that FF gets corrupted, by repeated upgrades, or some spyware, BHO or HiJacker.

I would probably UN-Install FF all-together, like with Revo Uninstaller, then do a massive scan for malware on the HD, using multiple programs, and then do a very thorough drive cleanup, freeing up as much disk space as possible.
Then reinstall FF, using ver 24 which just came out.

It should work just fine then.

    Good Luck!

    Dr Who,

Thanks for the quick response. With some local help, I was able to solve the problem. Currently I run FF 23.

What does v24 really give me? I've been using FF since since it was introduced and upgrading. Now new versions just seem to to add more fluff that I don't need in my business. I'm open to suggestions & some arm twisting.

    cheers,
