Out-of-cycle fixit for new zero-day IE threat

    By Susan Bradley

When Microsoft issues a security fix outside of its usual Patch Tuesday cycle, it's always for a good reason. This past Tuesday, Microsoft released Security Advisory 2887505, which reported a newly revealed vulnerability in all supported versions of Internet Explorer.

It appears that the fixit(s) are only for 32-bit versions of Internet Explorer... see http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2887505; expand Fix For Me; Notes about this Fix it solution, bullet #2: "•The Fix it solution that is described in this section applies only 32-bit versions of Internet Explorer."

And if you have upgraded to IE10, this Fixit does not apply, according to Susan.

She didn't say that. It applies to IE10 just the same as any other version.

    Hi,

Does anyone know how can I deploy it silently on several computers. I tried to deploy via SCCM 2012 but it didn't work. I know, it's an MSI file and it should be straight forward but it isn't .
