    Outlook 2003: Can't turn off "Out of Office" message

    I can't turn off my "Out of Office" message. I get a pop up that says "The command is not available" " See program documentation..." It worked until just recently. Should I suspect an update?

    See if "I receive an error message when I click the Out of Office Assistant command." at Troubleshoot the Out of Office Assistant helps.

    Thanks for the suggestion.
    The message I get is not "I receive an error message when I click the Out of Office Assistant command," but "the command is not available..." I checked your above suggestion link, and I am showing working online, and I show "connected" & " all folders are up to date" regarding the server connection. I am able to send & receive emails, I just can't open the assistant.

    You do connect to an Exchange server though?
