    The author said something interesting at the end of the article:

    This is as close a confirmation you will get that Microsoft is not quite yet ready to develop a fully featured security product, something similar to what these large security companies bring around.
    This makes it sound like Microsoft has plans to make MSE and other products better and more robust in the future. My take from reading the article is that Microsoft is moving in the opposite direction.

    Well, I think seeing MSE as a baseline for someone who uses nothing else is probably a good way.
