    Leading zero

Excel 2010 - I have a column of numbers (9 digits, no space or dashes required) I wish to introduce a leading zero but not to have the green triangle in the top left of the cell.

    Any help appreciated

    Hi

..just apply a Custom format of 10 zeros 0000000000 to the column of numbers.
(use 10 zeros for the custom format if you are using 9 digit numbers and want a single leading zero, use 12 zeros if you want leading zeros to give a final 12 digit numbers e.g. 123456 entered in the cell will give 000000123456 etc)
