How do I check out if the motherboards audio is going out?

It just started. The sound is mono in one speaker when it works. It doesn't make any difference what the source is or the player. It happens on both the front and rear ports and 3 of the 5 that are available. The motherboard is a Biostar A780L. The sound drivers are RealTek.

Hello.. If you open the Realtek HD audio manager ...is the balance set correctly? Regards Fred
