Post Query re. Windows Logon image

This is a hypothetical question. I personalised my Logon image, and placed the image into:

    C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\User Account Pictures\Default Pictures

If the particular image was deleted from the above folder, what would happen the next time Windows
was booted. Would it fail to load because it couldn't find the image, or would it load as normal, but just
display a blank space where the image should be?

My guess is that Windows would load, but it would put in a default picture to take the place of the one it couldn't find.
