    Windows Server 2008 high internet usage

    Hi all,

    We have a Win Server 2008 which is using 5gb of internet per day, I have uninstalled symantec & vprotray.exe which what I thought was using it, to no avail, can anyone point in the right direction of where to look next please?

    Use TCP View to inspect all your TCP and UDP endpoints. It will give you the detail you need to know where the traffic is coming from and/or going to.

    From there you can isolate processes to find the errant application.

    Why does your server have internet access?
    Rule no 1 in corporate networks is "block all external access".
    Rule 2 is "allow some exceptions for AV updates and a mail gateway".
    Anything else is asking for trouble.
