    Desktop shortcut option

I have created shortcuts for some reports by dragging their menu items to the desktop. It appears that reports open from shortcuts in Print preview by default. I can switch from Print preview to Report view by right-clicking on the title bar and selecting from the pop-up menu, but is it possible to make reports open from shortcuts in Report view automatically?

    Murgatroyd,

You need to create a Macro to open the report then drag the macro to your desktop. HTH

Note: make sure you set the macro to open the Report in "Report View".
FYI: Changing the default view of the report in the report's properties sheet to "Report View" works inside Access but not if you drag the report to the desktop for some strange reason, at least in 2010!
