    Send Link by E-Mail (IE6)

This is actually an Outlook 2000 SP2 problem, but the solution could come from IE. When I try to send a link by email, the message that gets generated contains both the url for the page as a link in the message and an internet shortcut. The problem is that Outlook will not allow me to send a shortcut due to its security restrictions, and it displays a big nasty message in the edit screen as well as prompts when actually sending "... Some recipients may not be able to receive.... Continue anyway?" Since access to the attachment is blocked it can't even be removed from the message. Is there a way to set IE to only put the url in the message and not create the internet shortcut?
