    Question File History

    HELP I have File History set up to download to a flash drive (7GB). When I check the download on the drive, I have no data, says can't back up encrypted files.

    What encryption method are you using?

    From what I've read you need to decrypt the files if you want File History to back them up.

    File History

    Joe,

    This is a new system with 8 pre-installed. I do not use any encryption software other than what came with the system.

    If you think BitLocker may be on the system by default see this article for a possible explanation;
    File history backup on bitlocker protected target
    It's not much I know, but it might help.
