    Picture file fouled up

My OS is Win7 Home Premium. When I went to load a new picture in my files I saw that all of them looked alike - just an orange symbol instead of pictures. I'm going to try and find one small enough to insert here:[ATTACH=CONFIG]36693.

I just looked at the insert and saw that the real picture printed instead of the symbol. I'm not sure how to get that symbol inserted.
Can anyone give me a clue as to how to get the pictures back?

Does this have anything to do with what View the folder of pictures is in? In other words are you still getting just the symbol if folder view is small, medium, large or extra large icons? If so then try clicking on tools>>folder options>>view tab and see if the first item is checked (Always show icons, never thumbnails) and untic if it is.

Thanks F.U.N. downtown. You nailed the problem.
I could preview or open each picture by right clicking on the icon and see the actual picture. But , now everything's back the way it should be.
