    PDF printout garbled

I have downloaded an appliance manual in PDF format. On screen all is well. When I try to print, certain pages are garbled with multi-language characters. What gives?

    Howard,

What PDF reader are you using? Adobe? You might try one of these Nitro PDF or Foxit Reader. HTH

On the Print Properties screen, choose Advanced then Print As Image. That fixes most of these errors.

If that doesn't work, then try printing to PDF. Then open the resultant PDF file and print it. I have found that when Adobe regenerates the document in this way, it often cleans up errors.
