    Setting Google.com as home page

I have tried to set google.com as my home page, but keep getting the following website as my home page

    http://start.search.us.com/v/2/?guid={407F09D3-7285-41D5-A83A-E8EDDFE524B4}&serpv=5

I would be appreciated if someone could advise me how to remove this so that I can set up http:\\www.google.com as my home page

I Just had something very similar called default tab search or something similar and MalwareBytes did not find it. However, Thomasjk posted a link that had instructions on how to get rid of it, I would suggest that in addition to running MB every other day along with whichever anti virus you're using, I will find that link and post it back here for you ASAP since it was SO helpful to me So give this a try if that doesn't work http://malwaretips.com/blogs/default...h-bar-removal

    Hi Guys

Thanks for all the input and advise. I used Malwarebytes and SuperAntiSpy, but to now avail. I eventually came accross ta Website that gave step-by-step instructions on how to remove http://start.search.us.com and I finally managed to get rid of it.

Howard, still use Malware bytes to prevent reinfection. Also be sure to keep your anti virus package up to date.
