    Firefox 25

I'm now getting nagged to update to FF25 already after waiting to update to 24 and having it working fine. I treat Firefox updates the same way I treat Microsoft updates - with great anxiety, mainly due to bad experiences in the past. If anyone has any comment good or bad on 25, please pass it on. Thanks.

    CE,

I've been running FF25 w/o incident since it became generally available. I haven't had a problem with my 19 Add-ons either.

BTW: I highly recommend Mozbackup to backup all of your FF settings. Works great and restoring is a snap. HTH

Do you have FF installed from Mozilla web site & for your locale. It should look similar to this:-

Yes, my "About Firefox" under Help brings up a logo similar to yours except it has a silver-grey "check for update" box in the middle. I originally installed FF16 from the Mozilla website on my then new computer with Win 7 HP, 64 bit. I often wonder if these monthly updates are really necessary for Win 7, or if Mozilla is just trying to keep up with Microsoft and its numerous releases of Win 8. Thanks for your reply.

FYI George, this is how FF25 appears for me.

Presumably it remembers that when I first installed it under Windows 8 I used the browser selection screen.
