    Stressed, can't login to WLM suddenly

    For some reason Windows Live Mail is asking me to enter my login info (it's always signed me in automatically), so I do and this screen continually pops up every time I enter and hit OK

    Here is the error code I also receive -

    Unable to send or receive messages for the Virgin (darrenj.campbell) account. An incorrect password was entered. The next time you send or receive messages, you'll be asked to enter your user name and password for this account.

    Server Response: -ERR [AUTH] Username and password not accepted.

    I tried signing into the email using Outlook, apparently my account was compromised and they need to do security checks first.

    So they want me to verify my email address by sending instructions to THAT email address. How exactly can I read the instructions when I can't access said email address?

    What is the nature of the compromise?
    You may need to setup a new Outlook account and have MS direct queries to that one.
    See if you can't access support via the web based account.

    They just said they've detected suspicious activity but didn't go into specifics.

    It seems to me that the issues is with your virgin.net account. Does Microsoft have anything to do with it?
    Clearly your login data was somehow compromised. I'd say it looks like you should contact virgin.net support.
