    Failed to update headers

I constantly get a message in Outlook 2010 "Failed to update headers" on my IMAP accounts. I saw on some of the MS tech boards that I needed to increase the timeout, which I did, to ten minutes...no help.

What causes this and how can I get rid of it?

    regards,

This happens due to PST file corruption. You can fix it by using following steps:

    1. Close Outlook
    2. Click on program files>>Microsoft Office>>Office 12 and run scan SCANPST.EXE as Administrator.
    3. You will find your PST file
    4. Allow the file to scan and fix the issues.
    5. Restart Outlook.
