How to Explorer2 issue in Windows 8.1?

It seems my File Manager, explorer2 Pro 64, by pushing F8 will no longer bring up a blank for making a new directory. I want to create a new one under a directory to put some files in. How do I do that with Windows 8.1?

You should be able to get a new folder in at least five different ways:

    1) Click the big new folder icon on the Home tab of the ribbon.
    2) Click a small new folder icon in the Quick Access Toolbar (normally at top left in the title bar).
    3) Right-click a blank area in the current folder, then New, then Folder.
    4) Right-click the parent folder name in the navigation pane, then New, then Folder.
    4) Press Ctrl+Shift+N.

If any of these aren't working, try opening a new File Explorer window. (I just had trouble getting all of them to work until I reopened from the task bar.)

Thanks for the information. I used Windows File Manager and it did the same thing. Then I found another directory with same name but a different setup. When I clicked on it and hit F8, it allowed me to make a new subdir. I guess the other one was a virtual directory or something. Anyway, both File Managers work with that one.
