Question I want to mark a message as a reply

I smartphone, a laptop and a desktop ... I access my email on all three. I consider the desktop to be my "main" computer. Outlook is set to delete from the server on this machine and I leave the messages on the server on the other devices.

Whenever I send an email from the laptop or phone, it gets bcc'd to me. When I check email on the desktop, I move all of these messages to my sent items folder.

What I would like to do is to tag or mark these emails as replies to other emails ....

For example, I was traveling, Jenny sends me an email asking about a project. I reply to her from my laptop. When I get home, I check email on my desktop. The reply I sent is sent to me and I put it in the sent items folder ... but the original email from Jenny does not show that I replied to her.

Is there anyway to show that I have replied ... and even show which email is the reply?

    Thank you!

    Hi,

    Welcome to the Lounge.

I am sorry, I don't think that is possible.

You could use a custom Flag or Category for "Replied", but I don't think there's any way to insert cross-references between originals and replies.

Found an old similar request that suggests that it could be possible through programming, but the link suggested no longer works: http://windowssecrets.com/forums/sho...tatus-(XP-SP2)
