    Update failure, I think

Yesterday my Win7 Pro 64 bit downloaded Windows Updates consisting of I know not what.
I use Chrome. After I turned on the computer there was absolutely nothing on the monitor. Computer was on as the blue 'on' light indicated. After no show of anything I shut it down with the switch. Tried this several times. No action. Monitor is fine. I hooked everything up to my trusty XP and am writing you/using it. The ONLY thing I ever liked better than XP in the 7 WAS the speed. The 7 has cost me more money, and will still cost me more if I get the dang thing fixed.

If you don't see the initial BIOS display or the loading Windows display, you have a hardware problem.

Thanks Jerry. I guess it's off to the fix-it shop. When two things happen close to the same time it's more confusing.
