    Unhappy Windows IExplorer

My Internet explorer will not run on regular mode --only in private browsing. I had search.com and search.us.com infect my machine. I was able to clean Firefox, but I cant locate the infestation on IE. Apparently search.com has managed to insert itself as the top search site, but it is hidden, so I can not delete it. Where can I look for this bug in my machine to squash it.

Can you do a System Restore to a point prior to the infection? Is there an entry in the Programs and Features area where you could uninstall it?

Perhaps some of these tips might help.
