    Unhappy Read Only in Word 2010

    I have Windows Vista and am running Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007. When I create documents, I do not have "read only" checked, but when my client opens them in Word 2010, he cannot edit them because it says "read only". Is there a way to recitfy this? Please help, as I am out of ideas on my end to help him!

    Are you sure this isn't just the Microsoft security causing this. Documents received via email are tagged so Word restricts the editing of documents until the user approves the editing functionality. There should be a yellow bar at the top of the screen with a button that the user needs to click in order to edit the document.
