Question Need a clue on managing data on date that is split into three cells

    Hi,

I am preparing data for analysis, from a national survey on Immunization Coverage. currently the data on dates is split in three cells (DD, MM, YYYY). I want the date data to come to one cell.

I would appreciate any help on this.

If the information is in cells A1, B1, and C1 respectively, have you considered D1 to be: =DATE(C2,B2,A2)

Or, if you're looking for a number in the form of YYYYMMDD , one alternative would be: =C2*10000+B2*100+A2

There are various ways you might combine the three cells -- all depending on the conclusion you are trying to reach.

    Hi kweaver,

Thank you very much. the first formula (=Date(C1,B1,D1) worked.

    I really appreciate that.

    Regards,
