Windows 8 Startup Guide for New Users

I'm writing in reference to Windows 8.0 instead of 8.1!

I purchased an upgrade when 8.0 started selling to the public. It's been sitting on my desktop ever since.

Could someone please let me know where I can find a primer or two within the Windows Secrets archives that will give me a good start on preparing & upgrading to Windows 8 from 7.

    Thanks!

First try the Sticky Threads in the Win 8 Forum. My tutorial on taking the scary out of Win 8 is a great starting point for customizing and straightening the learning curve.

Okay, will do. I did see your tutorial thread. Can I just print it to capture your original & subsequent posts? Thanks.

I am unsure if the thread in total can be printed. I suppose if you highlighted the entire thread, you could print the Selection.

Just printed it. I set it to capture 100 posts per thread. Created a PDF like a charm. Tx

Glad it worked for you. Most of the tips are simple things that can enhance the Win 8 experience, or at least make it feel more familiar. It was written primarily for Win 8, but most of the tips (perhaps all of them) should work with Win 8.1 as well.
